Water Treatment (Pre)

Clari-Flocculators

Clarifiers, Clari flocculators TSE Water designs clarifiers in various capacities to treat a diverse array of raw water sources, effectively removing suspended solids, turbidity, colloidal particles, and heavy metals. The isolation of particle components minimizes their volume in downstream water treatment processes. The clarifiers we design are aligned with the required water quality for end use or further treatment. Impurities are removed through coagulation, flocculation, and sedimentation in separate tanks. The clarifier's velocity is specifically designed based on the feed source to facilitate the settling of flocs. Corresponding systems for chemical dosing and pH correction are also designed. Clari flocculators TSE Water provides Clari flocculators available in full metal fabrication or concrete construction, equipped with various drive mechanisms and bridges. These Clari flocculators merge both flocculation and clarification processes, applicable for water, wastewater, and effluent treatment plants. They serve for both primary and secondary clarification.

HRSCC - High-Rate Solids Contact Clarifiers

TSE Water offers high-rate solids contact clarifiers – HRSCC for sophisticated water clarification in restricted spaces. HRSCCs employ gravity settling and are widely utilized for large capacity industrial process water clarification applications. A HRSCC is well-suited for lime softening and silica reduction through chemical precipitation. It is capable of processing feed water of different qualities at high velocities. The primary advantage of the HRSCC is that it forms denser flocs within the inner flocculation basin, leading to faster sludge settlement

Filters-PSF, DMF & ACF

TSE Water BU offers multi-grade filters (MGF) with various capacities.

MGFs (Multi Grade Filter)

An MGF is utilized in the treatment of water and wastewater to eliminate suspended solids, dust, and dirt found in the water. This filter operates as a depth filter, employing both coarse and fine media to form pore sizes that capture both large and small suspended particles. These filters function effectively at high velocities and possess a significant dirt holding capacity. MGFs are employed for pre-treatment in ion exchangers (deionizers and softeners) as well as in membrane filtration systems.

Features
  • Outstanding filtration, utilizing fine quartz sand media Eliminates suspended solids down to < 5 ppm
  • Engineered to operate at pressures between 3.5 - 5.0 Kg/cm2
  • Accommodates high velocity while offering substantial dirt holding capacity.
Dual Media Filter

TSE Water supplies dual media filters (DMF) designed for the removal of suspended solids and turbidity in both water and wastewater. This filter incorporates layers of sand and anthracite or activated carbon within a single container. DMFs are particularly effective for filtering water containing very fine suspended materials such as mud, dust particles, and biological growth at a high flow rate. A DMF outperforms the single filtration method.

Features
  • Exceptional filtration, employing fine quartz sand and anthracite media Removes suspended solids up to < 5 ppm.
  • Designed to function at pressures of 3.5 - 5.0 Kg/cm2.
  • Supports low pressure while ensuring high dirt holding capacity.
Pressure Sand Filter

TSE Water provides pressure sand filters (PSF). These filters consist of multiple layers of sand with varying sizes and specific gravities. The PSF is crafted to eliminate turbidity and suspended particles in the feed water with minimal pressure loss. PSFs operate at lower velocities in comparison to MGFs.

Features
  • Superior filtration, utilizing quartz sand of various sizes Removes suspended solids ranging from 2-5 ppm.
  • Engineered to operate at pressures of 3.5 - 5.0 Kg/cm2.
  • Accommodates low velocities while providing a high dirt holding capacity.
Activated Carbon Filter (ACF)

TSE Water provides a comprehensive selection of activated carbon filters - ACF, tailored for diverse applications to fulfil specific process needs. The activated carbon filter (ACF) operates based on the principle of adsorption. As water passes through, the medium adsorbs or interacts with pollutant molecules. ACFs are engineered to eliminate free chlorine, organic substances, odors, and colours found in raw water and wastewater. The filter is composed of various grades of carbon granules and supported media as per treatment requirement.

Features
  • Long-lasting activated carbon with a high adsorption capacity (900 Iodine value) for dichlorination.
  • Removal of organic pollutants, and colour Ensures consistent quality of treated water
  • Engineered to operate at pressures of 3.5 - 5.0 Kg/cm2 and for feed TSS of < 5 ppm

Hardness Removal/Industrial Water Softener

Ion exchange softeners (water treatment for hardness removal) TSE Water designs and manufactures ion exchange softeners specifically for multiple industry groups. This includes sectors such as food and beverage production, automobile manufacturing paint and washing operations, hospitality establishments, air conditioning facilities, textile production, and commercial laundry services. Hard water is considered inappropriate for both industrial and household use. Calcium (Ca2+) and Magnesium (Mg2+) are two key minerals that cause water hardness. The ions from these minerals lead to scaling in pipes and equipment, modify the taste of water, and present a major challenge in the laundry process. The ion exchange softeners we create are utilized in boiler feed water decalcification plants, cooling tower systems, and the recycling of treated water in sewage treatment plants (STP). These water softeners feature resin beads (ion exchangers) that are designed to exchange Ca2+ and Mg2+ ions for sodium ions.
